It doesn't look super happy, but the thing striking me is all the dieback on the old leaves. I'm not even sure what part your cat chewed on. Plants can usually tolerate a fair bit of leaf damage without too much issue -- they wouldn't last long in nature otherwise.

At any rate, I see two big green spikes in the middle, which appear to be vigorous, healthy new leaves. A plant nearing death doesn't usually have such healthy-looking new growth. Whatever is going on with this plant, I doubt it is a goner.

The pattern of leaf dieback makes me suspect nutrient deficiency (esp. nitrogen). If you haven't fertilized it since buying it, that's extremely likely, you should pick up a houseplant fertilizer and follow the label instructions. I recommend either granular slow-release (e.g. osmocote) or liquid/soluble (tons of options). Stick to synthetic fertilizers for indoor use, especially with pets, organics rely on soil microbes to make nutrients available which may not be present in your pot in adequate populations, and the ingredients can smell and be attractive to pets.

The fertilizer I use indoors is Dyna-Gro "Grow", it's a synthetic liquid fertilizer, and the teeny 8oz bottle on Amazon is $12 and lasts 100-200 gallons of watering assuming you use it every time you water at the recommended rate. (They make larger bottles, too, but 8oz lasts me years.) But you absolutely must follow the label instructions to measure and dilute, no eyeballing, or you may hurt your plants.

Back pain remedies? Mamas, I’m in the home stretch and I am aching! I wear supportive shoes and have a nice desk chair. Any other solutions or advice? I know the laxity in my joints is exacerbating it. Would love to hear what has helped you!

Can I (realistically) grow lavender from seeds inside without natural light...?

I want to grow lavender from seeds inside my office at work but there’s no natural light...

If I get some kind of artificial light thing: (1) how long would I have to keep it on each day and (2) how expensive would it be to buy...?

Thanks in advance for helping me try to make this dream come true, guys!
