For Deloitte at least, the answer is no. They only allow brokerages who support their BDIP (broker data import program), and robo advisors are all off limits because they might choose and automatically invest in a restricted entity.
I do. However, you have to be 100% allocated to stocks. One of the bonds they robo invest in is restricted so Independence will ding you for that. The only way to avoid it is 100% stocks
Most of the big 4 now I think have a list of approved brokerages that provide the firm with a list of your investments and any transactions you make as they occur. You sign something granting the firm access to the information.
They don’t have access to make any changes to the accounts.
OP. You can’t ask the question this way. Each firm has to be independent of their own clients. Send a note to “Ask independence” and get a proper answer for EY specifically
