I’m considering leaving Google to go work at a startup, I’m wondering if things don’t work out how easy it’d be to come back to Google. I’d love to hear from people who returned to Google how the process was. Does the company value your previous tenure at Google, or do they treat you like any external candidate who never worked at Google before?

Anyone with recent experience recruiting for Boston Consulting Group? Got in touch with a recruiter through referral, was directed to submit an application and already finished my pymetrics. Anyone know when I would be able to hear back and what the hiring timeline looks like? Recruiter suggested to get back in a few weeks but isn’t it too slow? McKinsey sent me an invite for 1st interview in a few days after they received my referral.

Have the feeling I'll be making quite a few slides as the only junior. Anyone staffed on a similar case composition?

General Tip: For McK London unless you have an MBA with 2 yoe (even from another consultancy) you should be looking at junior associate position. Direct hire associate without mba usually needs 5 yoe.
Also pay is lower than the US and salaries are fixed - just want to make sure you’re aware and comfortable with that.
Also note that for most offices in Europe, you need to be native speaker in the local language (few exceptions but this applies for example to Paris and Madrid which you mentioned)
If you have 2 YOE and no MBA, BCG will likely hire you as Associate or SA but note that at BCG those are basically entry level positions (equivalent to Business Analyst at McKinsey; our equivalent to their Associate is Consultant). The difference between Associate and Senior Associate at BCG is the time it takes for a direct promotion to Consultant - for Senior Associate it’s usually 12-18 months, whereas for Associate it’s 2.5-3.5 years (2 years in the US, but in the UK you need to spend at least 6 months as SA).
In addition to that, a lot of what McKinsey 1 shared above also applies (eg UK salaries much lower than US).
