Hi guys,
Need help,I am joining VMware Banglore on 27th June. During interview I told them I need wfh. They said it wil be wfh this entire year. Only mistake I did was i didn't permanent wfh. I took for granted like once I join i can opt for it ( as my VMware friends had said we can opt for it)
Now the offices have started, I am scared if they call me to office , I have 14months son, not willing to leave him n go for office.
So if I ask manager to give me permanent wfh will they agree ?

No, go to BCG
Is this a joke?

Obvious fishbowl answer is to go to BCG. Real answer depends on what your goals are
Do the Masters in English… you’ll always wonder.

Being 100% serious here. In what scenario(s) would a master’s in English be better than a few years at BCG?
I think it is better to work a year or so at BCG to see if it fits your interest. If it doesnt work out, you can go to attend your masters after a year.
Go to BCG. It’s great training and you can defer grad school for 1-2 years. You will not regret it.
Humanities grad students have zero job prospects.
With a question like this, I think you should avoid consulting
what a joke. i wouldnt waste a dolllar on any english program. must be a trolling post.
Are you trolling?

What do you want to do after masters in English? Consulting house like BCG will take you places no doubt about it but end of the day you have to decide what you want to achieve in life!?
Lol, obvious answer is indeed BCG. What would you do with a masters in English? I assume that if you wanted to stay in academia then you’d be going for a PhD…
If you can pull the offer out of undergrad than you can pull it out of grad school. Don’t regret not giving your masters degree a shot
Option for a Masters in English will always be there. Job at BCG, will not; do one year BCG minimum and have on resume and personal brand forever, then go to English grad school if you want
Not sure where you’re applying and if you’ve heard back from schools yet, but TBH, a more competitive GRE score would be 320+ but assuming you scored 5 for AWA, your schools probably don’t care.
What would you want to do after grad school anyway?
I used to work at BCG. You’d want to do 1-2yrs at BCG, which sets you up well in the job market. Get promoted to consultant, get the stamp of approval. Then depending on what your goals are in life, pursue the masters in English / or whatever you want to do. BCG on my resume, plus the additional savings in my bank account, is the fail safe for me. Then with your BCG exit salary, you could also demand a higher pay at your next gig.
