Do I join a smaller company for a title and pay bump?
I don’t like working at my current company ($500M Rev) We are a PE portco doing an IPO soon. This company is in no way ready for that imo. I’m the accounting manager and commenting 1.5 hours each day. Here’s my dilemma. I came up in big four audit and deal advisory, and eventually want to end up at a bigger company in an accounting or fp&a role.

Need advice from the forum as I am confused between the two offers. Thank you in advance.

Currently working as Business Consultant + Project Manager w midsize tech consulting firm : 12 YOE + current TC 125k

Offers :
1. Local Bank >> Business Change management role (COO org) >> 152k Base + 30k bonus(to be paid in March 2023) + challenging work culture + 3 months NP

2. Global Bank >> BA + PM role (CTO org) >> 160k Base + 20k bonus( to be paid in Mar 2023) + Regular work culture + 2 months NP

Never been in an SE or consulting or B2B sales role before but have a referral at Salesforce and have been in some informal conversations. I’m starting to freak out a bit now that maybe I can’t do it. I have a tech background so can handle that part, but perhaps strategy may be difficult. I’m a patent pros. paralegal working in bio/chem at my firm, 26 yo with an MS in Chem at 100k and a 115 hr billable req.
After the mental beat down that was grad school, I’m happy to have straightforward tasks and mentally coast, but my attys want me to start studying for the patent bar asap.
I like where I’m at and I know that once I start down the tech spec/agent/attorney path, it’s going to be full speed. How long do you think I can/should stay in this position before starting to study?

-Senior Consultant.
-Similar position to now, better progression.

-95k base, 16% bonus, good benefits.

Entering 3rd year at mid size firm in SE doing ID. I like my firm but really dont like the partner i exclusively work with and am going to put in notice. Do i tell the partner i work with first or the managing partner?
