Anyone here know about the SHL? Friend of mine applied to MBB Healthcare Analytics practice and has been asked to take this test. Thanks in advance
SC at Deloitte or M at a public (but less well known) IT firm? Same pay, slightly better benefits at IT firm. Basically, how much is that brand name worth in the long run?
I have two mortgage refinance offers for about $302k. Offer #1 uses a home value of $369k and offer #2 uses a home value of $332k. $332k is the more accurate value. Offer #1 is more attractive because the LTV is lower so mortgage insurance should expire sooner and the monthly payment is a little cheaper. I'm trying to determine if there are any potential downsides to accepting offer #1 knowing that the home value in the LTV calculation is inflated. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.
So - does anyone else work at an insurance company that has shitty health benefits? Last Dr. Visit cost me over $700 out of pocket and it was a regular check-up w/ labs???
Is an MBA worth it? Currently an SC within M&A, without MBA and all my SMs/PPMDs say I am performing as an M and should go up for promo early. Once I make M I no longer qualify for MBA reimbursement
Intern hire set to start Oct (Healthcare/MC)... All the layoff posts have me a bit concerned, and has me considering other options. Am I overreacting?
How to save money from monthly bills : 1) pay attention to auto and home insurance bills . The longer you stay with the provider, most likely your bill would go up . Since my wife and I are working from home for last 10 months , I was able to negotiate auto insurance bill and it’s now 30% less . 2 ) your wireless bill . Anytime you make changes , most likely your phone company will mess up your bill . Anytime they mess up, you can file complaint with FCC. My wireless company just issued me $300
I know it’s advertising and we’re barely grown up enough to figure out a 401K, but anyone here buy their own disability insurance? Thoughts on it?
Quick thoughts on Titan - I rolled my 401k into a Titan IRA about 6 months ago and could not be happier. Up about 40% with practically no fees. I had most of my money in Wealthfront and this blows it out of the water (on good days and bad days). It’s not for everyone - it’s great if you want someone to pick stocks for you but want to feel like you’re a part of the action. Their daily updates are digestible and geared toward hobby investors like me. Anyone else trying it out?
Signing an offer with industry (health IT), and there is an at-will employment clause in the agreement. Is this normal?
Just got an offer to work someplace else. Pay, PTO, medical and 401k seem good. What else could I try to negotiate?
Can you smart folks explain to me the pros/cons of a regular 401k vs a roth 401k? Yeah, I'm aware I can google, but wanted to ask you all instead.
First year out of college. Given your experience, better to max out traditional 401K or Roth 401K now? I know the basics but can't decide.
Coming back from maternity leave in a few weeks, and it looks like I need a whole new wardrobe...Is it even realistic to hope I can fit my old clothes eventually?
Looking for some advice on an exit opportunity - Current role - 1 year post-MBA at a T2 strategy firm making $148 Potential role - senior level role at a small healthcare company at $265 + equity Seems like a slam dunk, but is moving to a company that isn’t well known going to harm me in the long run? Should I wait for a F500 role that is lower title / comp but better name recognition? Should I wait until I’m manager? Having a hard time with this from a long term view vs short term
What is the bonus like for A&M tax first year associate? Got an offer for their federal tax group, 65k. And it seems like they don’t have a 401k matching program. Assuming the bonus isn’t as glorious as their other groups... is this a good deal?
Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
Does anyone have any ballpark figures on LinkedIn they could share? I.e. $x media spend translates to x followers and x engagement. Thanks
1) Hello everyone, I’m joining DD next month as a Specialist Senior. From an earlier post I did, I got conflicting views of what a Specialist Senior would do compared to a Senior Consultant. (Ctd...)
How much ~ bonus does a Senior Consultant starts making from his second year? (Deloitte Advisory/Cyber)
Is it possible to negotiate salary once I join the firm (MBB), esp after a promo? Tried to negotiate at offer but recruiter pushed back hard... I dropped it but now I feel like I fucked myself over.
Are there any ZS SIPA 🐠 who are open to chatting? I might have an interview coming up and would appreciate any prep

What are exit opportunities for those at EY TTT? I’m a tax associate that recently got an offer in EYs TTT practice and I was wondering if this would be a good Segway into the tech industry?
Any recent D to other big 4 transfer at the SC1 level? Getting promoted to SC but salary is low and expecting to be in low 80s as SC in D. Consulting, GPS - curious what offers are being made elsewhee

Have any ADs out there jumped frlm an advertising agency to a more production-focused role? I’d love to do film/TV/music videos but not sure where to start because the idea of freelancing terrifies me
So this happened. Since getting laid off I’ve been applying to every job that I believe I’m qualified for. 30 minutes after I hit send I received an email from the company stating that I did not have the right qualifications for the job. No one from the company looked at my portfolio. How do I get past the algorithm and get my work noticed by a real person?
Working on client acceptance and is asks if out work will require us to access the following: nuclear propulsion☠️, submersible vessels⚓️or high performance super computers ..Who are we James Bond 😎
Is there anyone here that works for the same company as their SO? We do and both love where we work but during times like these almost feels more intense with the uncertainty.
