No! You can't help someone who doesn't want never mind someone who doesn't even know they need it. Attraction not promotion. You will potentially do more damage than good.
Agree with Huge. Stand down and be a positive beacon.
Unless their behavior is directly and negatively impacting you, stand down. Even then it's not about the booze, it's about the behavior and work product.
I don't feel it's entirely out of line to simply ask a coworker -- one you know fairly well -- about their general wellbeing. If you do it tactfully and with empathy, there's a chance they could open up. Otherwise, it's really none of your business.
I don’t think I’d actually do or say something but it just... makes me grateful for my sobriety and wish sad to think that this coworker is probably feeling what we feel but doesn’t have the tools. (I’m probably projecting.)
