Who else trains legs on Monday ?
Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

100%. My debt impacts every decision that I make throughout my entire life. If I can travel, where I can live, the kinds of financial decisions I can make. It affects how risky I can be and how much I can stand up for myself in the workplace. It's on my mind all the time, and it's extremely stressful.
Yep, I never feel like I'm 100% secure or that I'm making decisions freely - everything is done with the notion of debt sat behind it
Yes. I always feel like I am going to end up homeless because I have no emergency savings and feel I am living paycheck to paycheck. Terribly insecure feeling.
