I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I have 14 years in the industry but have been at the current company less than a year, so I know that plays a part as well. Anyone in a like-position by chance?State Farm Allstate Travelers

I worked for them back in the day before the name changed about 3 times. Long ago and far away it was Blue Cross of a Western state and not-for-profit. I can definitely say it used to be much better than it is now.
Overall, my opinion is that it’s difficult to find a company that’s a good fit and where you are truly content. If you find that company you should stay with it. Just be aware that companies can change. When they change beyond recognition, as Elevance (FKA Anthem, FKA WellPoint etc) changed and you’re no longer happy, you need to be ready to leave. Don’t give yourself stress by being loyal. Your happiness comes before loyalty.
People can leave because they want better pay and when they return they are able to negotiate higher because they left for something higher and have gained additional skills. It doesn't have to be that the employer is making the workplace desirable or that the environment is any better. Sometimes the best way to get a decent raise is to leave wherever you are.
Every job I have ever had had people leave and come back. Don't have that fear keep you from doing what's best for you.
I believe this to be true for many companies. I’ve seen people leave and come back to State Farm too. You hit it on the head…the grass is not always greener. A person’s attitude can make all the difference in just how green it is.
