Totally depends on what you’re doing and what you did in the past. If it’s a big career shift then I could maybe understand. But 160k for 16 YoE seems low in general.

Yes it’s not at all a bump. I am an Independant consultant looking to move to full time .
I am a data architect specializing in cloud migrations from on Prem data warehouses.
I love all this commentary (11+ people) with barely any mention of domain or level, which would be the biggest impacts on the comp in consulting.

That’s very low. If you had 5-6 YOE, I would say not bad. I’m guessing you’re roughly ~38-40. At a minimum, you should ask for $200K-250K base. I’m sure EY or EY-P would be happy to offer you the minimum I called out.
You’d be surprised. There are plenty of Sr Directors and PPMDs without consulting experience. Was surprised EY-P hired some of them as well.
While I think it’s low, it’s pretty obvious that people in consulting are quite out of touch with how much people actually make outside of this industry. 160k in Detroit is more than enough to make a living but as everyone says it depends on what those 16 years were, if you have an mba, what level, etc
Even within consulting salaries have a huge range. If they’re doing implementations than this is a solid salary. If they’re a Senior Manager this is low

About Accenture annual performance bonus, what is the typical realization percentage of the promised target bonus? (ie. promise 15% and got 7.5%, that would be a 50% realization)
