EY just cut the phone reimbursement to $60. Vision 2020 at work people 😡🖕🏾.

For seniors it's an effective $480 after tax annual pay cut. It's been part of our total package for many years. It's also the expectation that we're supposed to have the app, check emails, and use it for business calls in the field

like

You're all ungrateful bastards. I get a 20% discount on data and am happy with it.

I am legit pissed man. That's $480 after tax/year they just took away

like

I'm really annoyed by this! I just made senior and was excited to have my whole bill fall under the allowance, now they cut it to less then I received as a staff... I shouldn't have upgraded my phone

like

Stupid vision 2020. Embarrassed to say I work for EY now

like

KPMG has no phone policy

like

I will now no longer download email attachments or refresh my email multiple times a day when out of the office.

like

EY is not making the 2020 goal so they should just stop and accept that

like

Damn. Wondering how much longer PwC will have its policy (firm currently pays 100% of phone - we don't even see a bill).

like

Bull in many ways. 1. 10 days notice to go into effect. Really? 2. Also find me a plan for 60$ is this for flip phones guess they won't want me checking email. 3. And lastly Then give me a work phone like Deloitte bc I don't give me personal number to co workers or clients and I will not pay out pocket to keep my work line

like

The thing is Vision 2020 was all about revenue goals. This is stingy cost cutting and will just piss people off. Inserra spoke about profitable growth. There is no growth in slashing everyones benefits. This will just make high performers look elsewhere.

like

I guess that covers the Weatherford SEC fine.

like

Ey2, I'm the same, shouldn't have upgraded phones. I'm waiting for them to recommend reducing mileage to below the IRS rate

like

Calculate how much the firm saves. Vision 2020 is bullshit.... I can see other firms keeping theirs though to stay competitive

like

Check your email

like

$60 is about EY's rate per hour when trying to keep work away from competitors so natural that it flows down hill.

like

Yeah Deloitte used to be hundred %. EY is stingy

like

Yeah. It is not helpful during busy season. Think Management Team! Think!

like

I saw that and immediately submitted for $100. Hoping it slips through before

like

You'll be fine EY10. November 1 is when the policy going effective. Imma quit EY in 2 months

like

My annual phone bill is $840. To revoke the phone benefit is akin to decreasing your annual salary in my opinion. So now you're forced to dip into a pool of money that could have saved, placed towards a mortgage, day care, or student loans. Having a phone is a necessity for work, perhaps the plans are frivolous, but to shift an expense unknowingly in the middle of the year to your staff is unfair and passing it off as some "Vision" is insulting. I know a lot of people are giving you guys shit for getting upset but I genuinely would be just as upset.
