Given that I WFH and have a pretty stressful job, my mental health has been suffering alot. I am always tired, and craving junk food. I am also super moody and an emotional roller coaster. I start fights with my boyfriend everyday and then regret them. I honestly have become unbearable and I know it. Any suggestions ;/
Ugh very relatable. Do you get outside enough? Exercise? For me it’s good to get out of my apartment for at least 30 min, at least for a change of scenery and to stretch my legs.
I have been slacking with leaving the house and getting fresh air and working out. I ride the peloton a few days a week, but definitely need more exercise.
I’m sorry. I went through something similar years ago. It was rough! And I knew it meant I had to do some deep healing work to do, which was therapy and hiring a professional coach. ❤️🩹This Wayne Dyer quote really helped me. ”When you squeeze an orange, you'll always get orange juice to come out. What comes out is what's inside. The same logic applies to you: when someone squeezes you, puts pressure on you, or says something unflattering or critical, and out of you comes anger, hatred, bitterness, tension, depression, or anxiety, that is what's inside. If love and joy are what you want to give and receive, change your life by changing what's inside.”
COVID has really squeezed us. Accounting was too hard before the pandemic. Both are a lot to be with. Hugs to you.
Thank you I needed this ❤️
I would second the comment above. I have felt the exact same and going on a walk or taking time to go to the gym always helps me. It’s always focusing on giving yourself time to do whatever you like, cook, clean, read, take a bath, etc. Take care of yourself first and everything around you will soon get better! Also never hurts to go see a therapist. I have anxiety and it lingers into work/life sometimes and it helps knowing some techniques to get over that hump.
Thank you! I also have pretty bad anxiety. Are you medicating ? I am debating if I should start taking medicine
Are you still at protiviti? Have you looked at maybe getting a less stressful job? Not sure where you are at in your career, but sometimes a new place can help you to refocus what priorities you need to focus more on.
There are lots of depression questionnaires online. Sounds like you’re checking a lot if the boxes. You might consider therapy or a visit to your GP. Coming from someone who’s been where you’re at on more than a few occasions.
