Current Profile: Senior Data Scientist
Amex people thoughts on this offer, as I have recently(4 months back) joined a startup with Base(33) and CTC(35.5) but not enjoying the work here. Amex brand tag and culture is good.
Hence, considering the offer, does this offer look good or is there any scope of improvement? Amex American Express

Do not be a victim of amazons downleveling.
They do this to everyone. My buddy who was an E6 at Facebook interviewed with amazon for an SDE3 role. He crushed the interview but they down-leveled the position and told him that they felt he was an SDE2 and the TC was about 130k lower than his FB role. Zero room to negotiate. I guess it’s one of their leadership principles right?
you do only have 2 months of experience, unless i read that wrong
its amazon, they can do whatever they want. I dont know that’s it’s unethical or just a mistake. Typically a BDM role at Amazon is not an entry level role and pays 200-300K. Sounds like this role’s budget is lower and at entry level salary. so if you’re expecting 300K at 2 months of experience in sales, say no. if you want a 100k job or so and want to work at Amazon. keep going.
Oh no. There they go again. The question is are you willing to take that SDR role? If you are then go for it but if the disappointment defeats that willingness then might as well renege your application.
That's a total downgrade. Might as well start looking for other opportunities. Plus, the interview process there takes some time.
