AWS associate engagement manager salary?
I am Chartered accountant with 3 years post qualification experience in assurance global audit from big 4 working for canada. I am getting a CTC of 13.80LPA fixed and variable 1.48 LPA. Is this enough or should I ask for a hike..EY Deloitte KPMG PwC . I am not seeing any notification on the coming hike..
Gave interview in TCS, it went pretty well. At the end, the tech interviewer asked my expected ctc. After mentioning as 27lpa, he asked if can be negotiated, told yes.
After that didn't get any feedback, its been around 5days.
Is 27lpa too much fr tcs? 🤔

I just hit $200k NW and it’s been 7 months since I made my post (link below) about hitting $100k NW in Dec ‘21.
I’m just mind-blown since it took me 2.5 years to get the first $100k and it’s snowballed from there. I’ve gone from $82.5k TC to $238k TC plus a $20k appreciation on a house I bought at the beginning of the year
Can’t really talk about finances with friends/family so this is the only place I can share milestones like this haha…we’ll see if I can hit $300k by EOY

Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

Did you already negotiate with them before the offer?

No leverage, I'm quite wussy about it actually. 😅 I say something like "would the company accommodate 10% more. It's more in line with the job scope and market." I was happy with the first offer and simply trying my luck. But also assuming they have that negotiation buffer.
I feel like ultimately money talk is money talk, from the business POV they have their budget and leverage or no, or whatever reason I come up with, they'll say yes or no according to their budget. The reason is just a foil. But totally my take 🤷🏻♂️
Another question, do they know they’re giving you a big pay bump? I’m in a similar situation looking at potentially 40% + senior promo, so not sure how hard I want to push since it would already be a promotion, and they would be picking me over someone potentially already in that senior role somewhere else.
It depends, I’ve heard a few people say that they got solid first offers from this shop, so unless it’s at the very bottom of the range I gave them for the position (which would still be a 35% bump for me), I will probably be happy, to be completely honest.
I would say keep doing as much market research as you can, and whatever you fight for, you should truly 100% believe your skill and experience is deserving of that number! They will probably try to shake off any negotiation that is hesitant or half-hearted, so use your own confidence and any leverage you have. For me, my leverage is that I’m pretty happy and secure where I’m at, with a good variety of clients, so I’m able to say ‘I would feel more comfortable leaving my current position for a salary closer to $X’ … along those lines.
