Hi Folks, I submitted documents 2 weeks ago for BGV in Tech Mahindra. I have not got any response so far from HR. However, last week they scheduled another interview and dropped me email just before 15 mins, yet i joined the interview but no one joined from their end. Now, HR is not responding. What should I understand from this case? Am I rejected? Tech Mahindra Tata Consultancy

That's always tough feedback because it's subjective.
My question to you is, if you look back at the interview, did you do a great job of answering their questions? Second, if you know the role is lower level did you make it clear that you know the role is a "step down" and that you would do well in a role with less responsibility?
Typically, this type of feedback is because the candidate wasn't exceptional (companies now want to be WOWed) or didn't click well enough with the interview team.... It's sh**ty, but it's the reality in this market. Lastly, if they say you'll be bored, that might mean you didn't filter your experience enough to show how you'd stay engaged despite a more limited role.
Same thing happened to me with an interview with the CEO. Ended up being put first in the queue for a new, unposted role. It’s not always bad, but agree it’s bad form.

That would piss me off too. Getting an offer that leads to a paycheck and being able to pay your bills and re-join society by being gainfully employed is not boring.
It could be an honest bit of feedback in that companies are always wary that someone will take a position and flee the second something better comes along. Or, it's possible they just chose someone else and they thought saying you'd get bored was the easiest way to break the news. I guess it comes down to whether they were being honest and cold-blooded, or dishonest and awkwardly polite.
I have actually had that same thing happen to me and I was so discouraged by the feedback but ultimately they did me a favor.I think I would have gotten bored in the role and would have ended up searching for something else shortly after so it was for the best.
