Did you feel like the school brand hinder you in getting MBB interviews in any way? I don’t think Ross is a low ranked program like some others in the comments, but it seems like they tend to recruit from top 5 mba
Also which location were you interviewing for?
A major difference between placement rates is
#1: size of school, you see large placement numbers at M7 as most are 50-150% the size of Ross.
#2 self selection, high caliber people self select into M7 over T15. There are inherently more MBB caliber people at M7 but it does not mean MBB places less emphasis on T15 schools. We still have plenty that it’s worth they’re full time and investment

Did you interact with any part-time students? Ross is my dream school for part-time MBA.
I’m currently at Ross as a 2Y FTMBA student and I have a part time (weekend MBA) student in my FACT group (what Ross calls your recruiting support small group), so I definitely have had more interaction this year than last. And I’d echo Associate that they also attend social and recruiting events when they are on campus - a few skipped at least one Saturday class to join us tailgating at the BUS, and several are part of our clubs!!
Did you feel that Ross was the differentiator between you and breaking into MBB OR would you have been able to get there on your own? Put another way, did you learn all the components to be able to successfully case during MBB interviews at Ross or did you get there based on prestige / brand name of Ross and relying on your natural casing abilities. TIA!
Ross was definitely the platform to get me to the interview. I wouldn’t have gotten an interview without the Ross name and the schools connections to the firm. For the actual interview the core classes helped but it was the support of MBA2s and my own efforts that got me to the end
Do you think the Ross MBA was a deciding factor in your switch or could you have made the lateral without it? Context: I’m at ACN strategy and want to pivot to McKinsey in the next year and a half
Jumping into this thread. I do Strategy at a B4 (mostly supply chain focused) right now, a year into the Ross Executive MBA, and targeting MBB for my '24 graduation. Hard part has been a lack of recruiter engagement to the EMBA students.

Consulting is definitely the second most stressful behind IB recruiting but we send tons of top candidates to MBB both primary recruiting and re-recruiting MBA2 year!
