I would check the USCIS checklist of required evidence specific to your case type. Sometimes a current passport is an admissibility requirement regardless of proof of citizenship. Sometimes secondary evidence is acceptable, so baptismal certificates accompanied by affidavits of people who had knowledge of the birth can be enough. Religious marriage certificates probably count as primary evidence of legal marriage depending on the state you’re in (do they recognize common law?) but you may need more marriage evidence if the eligibility for the benefit is based on the marriage anyway. If you submit bare minimum evidence, be prepared for an RFE. Good luck
