Has anyone taken advantage of their firm’s Employee Assistance program (EAP)? It seems that counseling/ speaking to a therapist is actually covered and you don’t need to go through insurance

I question this because I’m not sure of the credentials of some of these folks. For all I know, it could be some random person on the other end of the phone just hearing oneself vent and divulge their issues

like

Yep, it’s great. They’ll pay for a select # of sessions under the EAP program. I recommend seeing someone that also takes your insurance so that when EAP is exhausted you can continue the therapy under insurance.

I looked into it but all the people in my area that did the EAP had terrible ratings

I have used EAP twice! They're great! They've really helped me with my coping skills. I definitely recommend. I think KPMG recently changed from lifeworks to Aetna EAP but when I used it they suggested a counselor but you could also pick your counselor from a list online.

Used it for a few sessions laxt year and a will use full 5 sessions this year. Just great to ha e someone to talk to, especially if you're trying to build some new habits or work through mentally tough times. Saw my counselor after panic attack and 4 months of chronic fatigue and inability to concentrate leading to a depression diagnosis. Really glad I started it.

Advice and/or consolation anyone? My wife and I (both above average health 30year olds) were trying for 11 months before getting pregnant and then had a week 5 early miscarriage a few months back. If the stress and surprise of just how difficult it apparently is to get pregnant wasn’t enough, the miscarriage put us over. We got back to it and have been trying for the last 2 months again, still no luck. We’re freaking out… all we want is a family. Any similar stories? Advice? 😢

I'm an accounts receivable expert with 8+ yrs of experience. I started with 96k per annum in 2014, and have worked with 4 different MNCs since then. Currently I'm getting approx 9Lpa, and it feels like I'm pretty much stuck here. Switching jobs increases the pay scale, while staying for a while reflects stability.

When I look at the other member's comments here, it seems majority of folks are earning 20-30Lpa or even more.

Any suggestions from mature audience to achieve a big pay raise.
