Hello all,
Would like to know specifically about Queer inclusion at SocGen Societe Generale. What is the attitude of mangers and HRs towards treating LGBTQ identifying candidates? Is company really inclusive or it’s just a lip service? Considering an offer with the company but being an out and proud Queer woman, super anxious and concerned.
That was a fun little tremor last night...

I took this approach for each section. There were some where I studied a few weekends before. For the most part , I took two weeks off to make my way through all of the Becker material and then took the exam at the end of it. Now it wasn’t 80 hours each week.. more like 45-50. Passed each time (recently passed my last section). This approach isn’t for everyone, but it worked for me. I couldn’t study after working for 8-9 hours.
I wouldn't study for crazy hours each day but yes it's doable. I passed all 4 within 6 months while working fulltime

80 hours per week? Studying over 10 hours per day? I don’t even work that much
@kpmg4 I have CPA exam years ago. U gotta be stupid/naive to think CPAs know more than someone who deliberately learns the material to solve their client's problems. Some, but not most, EAs know just as much as CPAs

I think it’s doable. I have a friend who’s friends’ friend did it in under 2 weeks. It helped that he has a photographic memory as well as had taken some adderall and coke during the period.
Yo, am I your friends friend?
If you only do Beckers final review you can easily pass each exam in just one week. That’s what I did, the final review touches all the main points and the cpa exam isn’t that hard to begin with.
😑😒😒😒 I call BS @FA1 & @Associate 1
I did but definitely not 80 hours a week. 3-5 hours a day for 2 weeks, passed (audit) with an 82
Nice - yeah 80 hrs is just hyperbole, idk how long it would really take
I took all my exams during the end of senior year/before starting work. So never took off, but did cram 3 of the 4 and it worked.
Studied 12+ hours a day for 2-3 weeks for all but FAR and I got 90+ on all of them, so I could have passed with less studying for sure.
I did spend way more time on FAR than the other sections though, that one would be hard to do in two weeks. Also took FAR during the semester, so couldn’t study for more than a few hours a day.
I know cramming isn’t ideal, but they pack so much info into each section, spreading it out too much doesn’t work either.
I ended up studying for AUD for two weeks (while working) and ended up passing but would not recommend lol… I skipped the lecture videos and just went through as many practice problems as I could and referred to text/lecture to find answers.
Google superfast CPA. Guy is a genius
I knew I guy in undergrad that did this for 3 weeks and then scheduled the exams. He passed all the exams on his first try. Now, this strategy def isn’t for everyone.
Just don’t.
What’s the reward for passing the CPA exam in 2 weeks instead of 6 months?
78% of the gross amount
I’m kind of doing that right now. Definitely not studying 80 hours though. I take audit on Friday so we’ll see if it works or not.
I did like the comment about just doing the final review though so going to try that on the next one I think. I’ve done the whole book, lectures mcqs and sims for this one and honestly my head constantly hurts so just want to get it over with at this point
How did you do? ☺️
I am actually seriously considering taking a 6 month leave of absence to study and pass all 4 sections. I asked my PC she was very supportive of the idea, and so were the other senior managers and partners I work closely with. Just waiting on final approval from HR. My plan is to study 8 to 10 hours per day. Taking weekends off to be with wife and kids.
I hope they approved you!
Yeah I did exactly this. Adderall binge baby. (Still failed and had to retake FAR, which I then studied for 3 months and passed)
I took mine by taking a Fri/Mon off then sporadically cramming over Fri/Sat/Sun and testing Mon
This is the most re-donkulous thing I’ve ever heard.
I sort of did that for my last section (REG).m, but I also only studying the final review book and MCQ bank from Becker. For about 3ish weeks, I was studying while working full time (I’d study early in the morning and after work but I wouldn’t like kill myself to get through topics, I just did what I could. But honestly, didnt really absorb thag much at first) and then for 2 weeks, I took off from work and just spent that time studying, reviewing and resting. It worked out for reg but i dont think I could’ve done that for a section like FAR and still pass. It depends on what your strengths/weaknesses are I guess. The CPA exam really just requires you to be brutally honest with yourself on what you do and/or dont know
I got all four done within 5 months. But I wasn’t working.
I do think its doable - i did audit and bec. Far takes a lot longer - if you’re taking far - 2 weeks is well short
