Has anyone used Plastiq to pay rent or mortgage? Assume you pay off every month.

The fee is high. I use Yotta’s debit card, because the website I use to pay rent doesn’t charge fees for debit card. I get tickets towards the weekly $10M drawings and a chance to get the transaction reimbursed. I usually get about $21 back from the drawings for a $1,400 rental, so not great, but better than nothing.

Would only consider it if I was trying to meet a sign up bonus

If you can get the bofa platinum honors card then you’re looking at a 2.62% cash back. So really only about .20% in fees - could be worth it, if you invest wisely or value the float and holding onto cash a little longer.

helpful

I’ve looked into this for lender but never had one who would allow it. Would be a nice workaround for points.

2.85 fee is charged but many credit cards are only 1%.

1% would be great, but many other ways to spend money at around 2% or less (e.g. taxes, utilities, property taxes...).

I pay my mortgage every month with my BoA Business Cash Rewards card. It codes as Travel and I earn 4.5% because of my Rewards Status. I also use Plastiq for hitting minimum spend on other Mastercards.

Seriously?

Hi all, I am trying to DCA bi-weekly into Vanguard ETFs, (VO, VTI etc). It seems like Fidelity does not support auto buying of non-Fidelity ETFs. So I was wondering which of these options you think is best?

1. Open a Vanguard Invest account
2. Look for Fidelity ETFs that are similar to Vanguard ETFs
3. Use smaller brokerages like SoFi l, Robinhood etc.

I really do not want to manage nor be active. My goal is to log-in like once every 6 months.

Thank you all.

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.

My financial advisor mentioned Nationwide Variable Universal Life Insurance Accumulator would be a good financial instrument as we are now in a higher tax bracket. This type of life insurance seems complicated and has some fees attached that stresses me out (although the return sounds better than other life insurance). Anyone have this plan or thoughts on VUL?!? Need advice.
