Advice pls - was confirmed that Deloitte would be moving to offer approx 3 weeks ago. Offered lower than expected salary, asked for an increase and haven’t received any confirmation on the original or revised offer. Not enough experience to become a Senior designer, but too much to be a junior.

And there hardly any intermediate roles out there.

Has anyone built an emergent learning group in your consultancy or company that focuses on reflection, feedback, problems of practice... But amongst designers staffed on different projects/clients? How did you structure it? How did you maintain it?

Are most companies paying for you to learn new skills? When acquiring new skills are you mostly self taught? What are your best go to sites for learning animation or video skills? Trying to gauge the norm on expectations for new hires who need to know everything from print, web, video, social and animation. Can you do it all?

Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I went through six rounds of interviews including putting together a 30 minute presentation which I presented to the whole team. The whole process took about six weeks. I turned down another lead position at a different company waiting. After all that they told me that hiring for this role was on hold until further notice. At the end of the day it’s business, but I am left feeling like I wasted my time (and theirs.)Totally confused and disheartened by this process. Anyone else experiencing this?
