So, I just fired my first employee as a manager and I'm heartbroken. He was a great, great person but after 6 months on a PIP he just wasn't cutting it skills-wise. I have 20 days left in my notice period and I would like to know or get advised on how many days prior to joining date/led should I finalize the company from among the offers and what is a respectful time to intimate other companies that I will not be able to join their company.

Of course exceptions like last minute opportunity with a good firm or offer revision is there but in general what should be a corporate appropriate timeline.

KPMG has only mentioned the fixed part of salary in the offer letter. Somehow the recruiter said the % variable part wouldn’t be mentioned in it. While on call she said the variable can go upto as high as 20% of fixed but usually above 10% for an average rating. So would it be right for me to say the CTC is Fixed + 20% fixed without being explicitly said in the offer letter?
