I have a question about how can I enter in Advertising role. Where I will be responsible for start to end planning and execution for the brands/clients. I am very interested in this and I have no guidance for this career path.

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Are you traveling during the pandemic or have client interactions been virtual? Lastly, if you are a consultant here, are you on billable hours? My current consulting role is not - so this would be new.

Right now my current salary is too low which is 27LPA with 14 yrs of exp and working as Data scientist. I am getting very few interview calls. Not able to decide whether to join that 40CTC or need to withdraw my resignation. The problem with current offer is job in another location with 3mnts wfh option.

Hope you'll are doing great! I was little occupied on the personal front hence couldn't keep up with the postings here.

I see in spite of 1-year anniversary of the bowl, the numbers didn't increase much. I know there are many other forums (like whatsapp groups) with similar userbase/members which maybe inhibiting sign-ups and activities. But one key differentiator is that Fishbowl groups are anonymous.

My company has given me a promotion without a raise. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

Little background:

Asked for promotion in late 2020 - was required to skill up, after skilling up, asked again about when I'll be promoted and was denied because there is no "vacancy" for it.
Got my annual hike in Oct 2021 without the promotion. I asked HR last week again and got a random announcement email saying my promotion is w.e.f Oct 2021. ( and no raise for the newly promoted role).

I beleive all the members of this group are in the communication and branding industry - a field where proactive communication and community participation ideally should be the highest but it's not so as of now. Instead, consulting, tech, developer bowls are more active than this bowl.

The risk of people not being aware is there but sending separate emails for every sub-program, webinar is annoying (as a receipent) I understand employee perspective.
