Anyone know if non-m cars have launch mode?
Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

Do you think you would stay in public accounting in a tax role but be happier with a better work life balance at a different firm ? If so, your background is a hot commodity and you’ll find plenty of roles at smaller firms. If you are seeking to transition, you could consider asking a recruiter to help. You could consider moving to a non tax role but would likely need to take a pay cut.
I think it’s really up to you and your market. Most people are dying to get out of tax, so if you actually like it I’d say stick it out because it seems to me like the market is always starving for tax talent in mid-level roles (manager through senior manager/director). It’s not usually a CFO/Controller track, but if you can stomach the work I think you’ll always have descent paying jobs available to you. What types of jobs are you looking for and what types of jobs are you finding? Do the tax opportunities in your market not align with the type of clients you’ve worked on in the past?
Are you me? Ive started to apply and have been getting interviews. Be patient.
