Best consulting firms without the massive ego?
Does anyone have any insights on what a typical Sr. Associate Director makes at Boehringer Ingelheim? I have a range of 170-180k which I think is fair but don’t want to be underpaid. Also, any information regarding retirement planning or medical/dental benefits would be helpful. Haven’t gotten much out of HR. Thanks in advance!

Please document this occurrence with date and time. Memorializing this incident may be important if this continues.
Thank you! I’ll write document this incidence! That’s a great idea
I want to understand this correctly. The boss was mocking you by "mimicking" you? I would confront them first and try to resolve it between you two before bringing it up to HR. If it has been an on going issues where they disrespected boundaries even when you've said to stop, this needs to be escalated
Yes, I believe he was mocking or making fun of me. He sadly has a reputation for being mean and yelling at staff and disrespecting personal boundaries. For example, another coworker said the boss kept trying to throw away a photo of his daughter at the computer he works at…And most people including me are worried about sticking up too much for ourselves since he’s the owner of our company.
Thank you for your advice!
I think it's tone deaf and inappropriate, but I'd probably just ignore it - just this one time. If anything like this happens again, though, I'd escalate it. If it's really bothering you, and you feel comfortable doing so, then talk to the boss/owner about how you feel. It's very likely he wasn't thinking and didn't mean anything by it, but if he doesn't become aware and change his approach, I'd get HR involved.
Yes, it is tone deaf/inappropriate. I think I’ll take your advice and not react at this time. If he keeps acting like this towards me, I’ll have to do something or quit. Im sure he doesn’t think much of the situation, but that’s probably because no one feels comfortable standing up to him since he can just fire us, so he just gets away with disrespecting his employees
I agree, always document document document! I would say you could leave it at that for now especially if this is a first time occurrence with yourself. Conversely, it wouldn’t be wrong for you to go to HR either though. HR is supposed to be a neutral party and if asked can and should keep your complaints confidential.
