Back to the senior associate. And you could ask if they want you to send it on.

If the senior wanted it sent back to them separately, wouldn’t they have assigned it separately? If they assigned in the group thread, they’re expecting a response in the group thread.

Whole thread, the idea that seniors live in fear of partners knowing they made typos when they are *asking you to deal with typos* rather than a close proof themselves is silly. We dont care, everyone knows we dont proofread anymore.

A1 I feel seen!
SA at V50 NYC here. Doesn't matter. I'd do whole thread. But it never hurts to ask your specific SA his or her preferences. Befriend your SA! I got the best opportunities as a junior because I treated the SAs like clients.
Yesss this! Perfect response.

Depends on how much you like (or don’t like) the senior, lol.
Kidding! In all seriousness, unless I have a major overhaul or noticed something that I honestly think would embarrass the senior person (in which case I’d send it to just the senior as a courtesy), just reply all to the thread. If the senior didn’t want a reply all, they wouldn’t copy the partners in the first place.

I agree.

Wow, of course back to the senior associate. Do not side-step the senior or make him/her look bad. This is a no-brainer

lol same. You think I care about typos?
Mentor
This is why this bowl is great. Such quick responses to help alleviate this young associate’s anxiety!

It depends.
