You you fiancé will make it through these dark times. My partner and I where in the same boat a number of years back. We had to face some hard truths and make some difficult decisions. But it got better. Our life isn’t what we dreamed it would be when we first started dating, but I wouldn’t change a thing now some 15 years later.
Your not alone. Life is rough especially these days. Trying to grow in a company is so hard. I had to put career on hold when my child was diagnosed Autistic and I did it happily because he needed me more and my child's Dad is skitsophrenics so couldn't rely on him to take the financial obligations and strain so had to just do all I could. Now that I want to grow at work even though I am fully capable for the roles it's just rejections without proper reasons it's very demotivating but can't resign in this economy. I pray your options improve dear🙏🏼💐 focus on building your foundation the wedding and everything will come
Can you start something together and work with local businesses? Maybe pull in a couple of extra hands when needed. I’ve in your fiancé’s shoes the last couple of years and inching closer to mid-30’s. Ditched the small market 3 years ago.
Maybe it’s time to try jobs outside the box? Or find remote work if your market is small?
Has your fiancé been outright rejected - interviewed and passed on - or no reply? Maybe retry now that places are hiring again.
Don’t worry about houses and weddings and timing. Focus on what’s best for you both to get out of this feeling.
