It sounds like you were surprised by your own success and implying there may be some luck involved? If so, good for you. I feel half of this round table nonsense is luck anyway. Maybe try not to be surprised if luck doesn't treat you that way in the future though.

The stars and numerical ratings that people give you in your reviews mean nothing during the review committee meetings.
I got 4s on all my engagements, including one international, with utilization of over 95%, drafted an article (i'm senior 1) and i'm pretty sure i won't get more than 3. So good for you, OP!
OP has got to be a staff. Any staff that meets target util gets a 4 or 5
4 and 5s on all engagements. 4s on performance indicators. All that and I received overall of rating 3. What do you make of that !? :/

Engagement ratings for the year were 4,4, and 5 so of course I got a 3.
Don't know your rank but remember those stars mean nothing, tell your feedback providers to not even bother but rather spend some time with a thorough review, that's what helps you at roundtable, those star ratings are not even mentioned, didn't anybody go over this with you?
