I see for many people the designation has changed but for me it's not. I was under the impression that the promotion happens after the mid year discussion or after the year end discussion.
Can someone please tell the details and when we can expect the new revised letter mentioning the new designation.

I have an offer for a A2 position at a elite boutique but as a lateral hire I will not be placed into their 3 year analyst rotation programme. Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? 2020 grad M&A/PE Associate in LCOL area thinking about moving to a ECVC/M&A boutique. I generally like the work I do and the people I work with, but I really don’t like the hours and the constant late nights and weekends. Currently on pace for 2250. Boutique I have been eyeing has billable hour requirement of 1500-1600 and comes with a 20-25% paycut. Is this a stupid idea and should I grind it out until I can move in house? Will this ruin my opportunities down the road?
