I had my boss approach me with a job description and told me a new opportunity was open at the company and I should consider it. What does this mean? The jd is a lateral move at best (asks for two years and no CPA. I have about 5 years experience and my CPA), and has way more hours included. How do I approach this situation?

Is there guidance/codification for departures from GAAP? Drafting a memo on some departures from GAAP (deminimus AP accruals, depreciation, etc.). I wanted some sort of authoritative literature to ref. Are noting the departed standards enough?

Pivoting away from Sales: I’ve been in sales positions for 15 years, and I’m just exhausted by the role (disputing commissions, arguing about deals, all of it). I have a degree in marketing, but I am having a hard time landing interviews since I’ve never had a strictly marketing only role.
