She has Director of Nursing experience as well as experience with case management and utilization review. Does Globant terminates the employment of certain trainees after their probation(3 Months) based on their performance in the training period? Some of the fresher trainees were laid off this morning without giving a notice or reason.

We were told that the probation period is a training period & not an elimination one. It was shocking as a few of those trainees were actually good.

i am incredibly livid at the way my firm laid me off, claiming it was performance based when i know it was bc of some unrelated conversation about wanting to broaden my professional bandwidth. I had great reviews.. and those whose performances were below mine, have been promoted. I’ve had to hold my tongue, swallow my pride during my final call and play dumb even though i wanted to call them out on their bs. Trying to get over this but i hate feeling powerless and undermined

It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️

Don't own a personal laptop; always use my work laptop for everything. I see people recommending Dell XPS or Lenovo Thinkpad but do you really need that for school? My plan was to just get a run of the mill laptop to use for excel and ppt...what else do i need it for?

I grew up in a nuclear family away from extended relatives who were never really close. Parents were either emotionally unavailable or distant. All I've wanted for myself was a big loving family to call my own.. my parents are unaccepting of my sexuality & my partners family is also quite fucked up so she's isn't super close to them either. Honestly this sucks & it feels like I'll never have a huge supportive family I've wanted & craved for.

Why do companies do this? I interviewed with a company. They loved my work and told me that I’m going to start the following week. They made me sign all of the onboarding papers and poof ghosted me! 🤦‍♀️ I feel so down right now! And I feel like I won’t be able to ever land a job!
