Hi there, I have 3.5 YOE working for NHS Finance. I applied to Deloitte Risk Advisory, Public Sector (London, UK) and was successful. Waiting to hear back with package offer but it’s been over 2 weeks - was told they may offer M2 grade, any ideas what this is?
I’m also interviewing for Senior consultant role also at Deloitte. How much would this typically pay?
Torn whether to stay within NHS as I will be getting an internal promotion or move to Deloitte.

Hi all. I am trying to determine if I am being compensated fairly. I am a tax manager (about to start my second year as manager) and have been with EY since staff 1. I was promoted to manager in June 2020 (during covid) and received a 7.5% raise. The class above me has mentioned they received much higher raises during their promotion years. My base salary is now approx. 97K. Any insights would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

I’m in tax, but I left three months before my promotion to manager for an industry role. I left because of my mental health primarily. It was the right decision for me because I found an amazing role with flexibility, higher pay with better benefits, and significantly less workload/pressure. I now am happier to work late nights, even though infrequent, and enjoy it.
Having a manager title on your resume might get you a better chance of getting an interview for a higher position. However, at the end of the day, whether or not you get hired is based on the experience you’ve gained. In reality, getting promoted to a manager and quitting a month later is not likely you afford you better opportunities.
if you're getting it this year, probably better to get the title. depends where you plan on jumping tbh. i had an offer for an industry asst controller role from senior in public. i've seen people move to manager/controller at smaller companies in industry from senior as well. if you want f500, the manager title will def benefit you.
