I have a real dilemma and I need some educated opinions. Here’s the lay of the land:

Option 1: S1->S2 in FS BST at EY. Will probs make ~$120k after raise. Have all gold star marks and have really good relationships with leadership. Work is enjoyable.

Option 2: take an Investor Relations position at a $50bn RE Fund, for less money($100k), but at the possibility, if I do well, to be apart of the capital raising team in a year or two ($$$$$). Thats the dream, as I invest in RE myself.

Thoughts?

Lately, I've been hearing a lot from my peers about how sales isn't a real profession.
I work at a tech startup and it mostly comprises developers. They can't stop emphasizing their importance in the food chain and I can't figure if I'm too humble or they're too arrogant.

I am being asked to move to Richmond, VA for Sr. Mgr. Supply Chain Analytics role in an organization that is dire need of help.

I am currently at 146k TC, they are offering 190k TC.

I originally wanted a director level role to set the strategy, process, and tools.

Instead I am just being asked to develop the tools.

My hypothesis is a clear lack of strategy and no accountability for process compliance will mean any tools developed will fail.
