I applied to a position that was similar. You will find it cheaper to let them pay your premium and have your family on a privately sourced insurance. Lookup The Healthy Insurance Dude on Facebook.
This is the most common solution! I actually am a member of The Healthy Insurance Dude's team. Feel free to check out our reviews on Google, Facebook, and our website.

Can your wife pick up coverage for herself and the kids? If not, have you priced out how much it would be if you added them? If they're paying 75% of yours, that should leave you with a little bit of wiggle room.
In response I’d run the math and counter for a higher salary.
I do not have that situation but it sounds awful. Im hoping they more than make up for that in salary
I have found this is very common. Once companies have more than 50 full-time w-2 employees, they are legally required to cover 50% of the employees' premiums. They are not legally required to pay for any family of employees.
