Cheap mindset management cares more about timesheet, wfo, forceful mandatory trainings, imposing strict restrictions on laptop, access to personal docs only via vpn,no employee well being no salary hikes nth at all.90% projects filled with freshers coz they cost less.No WLB for good dedicated hard working employees as they are punished with more and more work, leaves rewards mostly for people who don’t work. But no issues kyunki job security hai 😂
PwC India Hi folks,
I graduated with Master studies in business at Singapore, and recently moved to India. I am currently looking for a consultant role in strategy functions at big4 in India. Here in India, most of the roles in MC & strategy advisory fills through referrals and campus recruitment, and not posting on the websites. I’d like to connect with people at big4 strategy functions for referrals and to know more about the firms operations
Thanks!

Hello I got a confirmation from HR at Shell that I have been selected for a role and there will be background checks before joining the company. He said the mail will come from a 3rd party vendor for the background verification. It has been 1 week and there has been no mails till now. Is it normal? Should I follow up with the HR again?

Currently making $270k total comp including RSUs. Push for even more than $230-250. Check out the tech creatives bowl for that Candor.co salary tech negotiation article. Read the script to the recruiter and you’ll kill it.
If you make more we all make more let’s go 🙌🙌
WK1 it’s not sales speak BS, especially after you’ve been at the company for a couple of years and get more equity and a promotion.
I’ve gotten into the habit of asking for a clear job description and budget when I’m asked what my salary expectations are. I’m done playing the coy salary games. And if you hear, “you’ll get the opportunity to shape the role as you see fit” — run. You can’t manage expectations if you’re working for someone that hasn’t a clue what the role should entail.
Is there a difference between asking for a “salary band” versus a “salary range?”
Potato potato. But a salary band is the fancy term for the official range for the role at that specific level, so I’d use that one.
Don't leave us hanging what was the band for the role?

I wish. That was my issue. I’m happy being back east after moving away for a job, and then returning during Covid.
They want you in the office eventually...but if the price is right, I guess you have to consider.
This! Yes! I had a very similar conversation.
I asked for their range and it’s 40k more than what I expected.

Wow. May I ask what kind of tech?
Big tech, the kind that's gonna launch skynet soon. Someone has to make them seem human.
Equity is the game.
Take it?
