I lost my spark. Any tips on how to get it back? My last job was toxic. After 4 year I quit and they gave me 3 month severance pay to look for a new job. (they were bullying me and didn’t want me to sue.) My 3 months has ended and I’ve only applied to one job. Every time I think about going back to work I feel physically sick in my body. How do I get past this? I want to love being a lawyer again.

I am seeking some guidance. I am a new medical social worker working in our hospital as the hospitals first social worker. So In addition to it being my first social work position in a hospital I am creating my position, with a lack of supervision. I am in rural mammoth lakes ca where the cost of living is very high (ski town). I have my BSW and am set to graduate with my MSW in December. I was recently (in April) fired from a good nursing position that I was at for 5 years. I reached out to my old ADON to get some information on where we had our vaccinations from and she told me that I should come back and the administrator that I had issues with is gone. Is this something I should even consider? I miss my patients and some of my coworkers and the pay is better, but I don't feel like I would really be welcome to come back.

Use a a pen camera or a hidden camera(small) in your pocket before attending the call and record the call and events. These peoples should not be spared. Try to get some evidence and let’s expose to public media and other legal teams. You can do this anonymously thereby saving others from this crap.

I have been invited to move up to the junior partner level in my mid-sized insurance defense/medical malpractice defense firm, but the terms essentially make me an independent contractor. What does your firm's junior partner track look like? I have been offered 50% of all income brought in, but I have to deal with my own insurance, pay all my own benefits, and handle my own insurance. Does anyone have family members who constantly demand money because they feel like you’re rich now because you’re a lawyer? I’ve always wanted to be in a position to help my family but we all live in the high COL city so my salary doesn’t carry me as far as it would elsewhere. I’ve given a detailed summary of all of my expenses yet every month one family member in particular comes to me for rent money (not some, the full amount, and they refuse to get a job). It has become quite the burden.
