Stick with Vanguard. Their management philosophy is to keep the cost low and pass the bucks to the clients. You can build your 401k into the 80/20 split (equity/fixed) based on MS’ and offering.
That 401k is not limited at all. No way to know which will be better long term, both are very good options. They are different though. One is all US equity. One is a split between us and foreign equity and will add bonds as you age. Depends on what you want. You tax bracket probably doesn’t make a difference for what to choose. It does make a difference between traditional and Roth, if you have that choice
Often times these pools to choose from have high annual fees. Look for the basics (e.g. US large cap fund) that also have the lowest fees (<0.05%). Anything above 0.1% is high.
That is often the case in smaller plans. I would expect Microsoft to have very low fees, same for B4 and large cos like Accenture
What’s wrong with the one you have highlighted? Vanguard S&P 500 is great for a 401k
That's actually the one that I'm considering. I'm currently invested in a Blackrock fund.
@OP LinkedIn is on Microsoft’s 401K plan - look into Brokerage Link. It lets you invest 401K assets into any stock / ETF, with no additional fees. E.g. You can buy Microsoft shares if you want.
Agree. But honestly a cheap sp 500 or target date fund is great in a 401k.
Hey OP I’m looking to pick the fund for my 401K too. Feel free to DM me if you want a buddy to talk thru this with.
