Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Be honest. I told interviewers I was looking for a healthier culture that values long-term performance over short-term grind. If they can’t handle that truth, they’re not worth your time.
Don’t worry too much saying you’re burning out and looking for a work life balance. They are all understanding why you want to venture out of public accounting. I left KPMG not long ago. To be honest, all people I’ve met here at my new company are ex-big 4. You are not alone!
