“Tone policing is defined as "a conversational tactic that dismisses the ideas being communicated when they are perceived to be delivered in an angry, frustrated, sad, fearful, or otherwise emotionally charged manner." Managers striving to create a workplace based on equity and inclusion must understand how tone policing silences members of marginalized groups and allows discrimination to persist.” https://www-businessinsider-com.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/www.businessinsider.com/how-to-identify-and-help-stop-tone-policing-in-workplace-2020-8?amp

I would personally fill in the gaps with line of credit. Enjoy the brief period of funemployment
That’s good to know. So yeah line of credit is the best solution for that “in between” jobs period. Interest rate on LOC is lower than credit cards, so it’s easier to manage the debt.
You can receive EI if you are unemployed for no fault of your own and you are not receiving severance.
no, you need to be searching without luck to be eligible
Thank you C2!!
No No. Don’t do that. Can’t you take care of yourself for just a month?
You will receive EI for I think 2 weeks, at the end of the year, you get a tax slip as this would be part of your tax liability. I am asking, is it worth it? It’s up to you and your financial obligation. Congrats on your new job. Take the time to relax and refresh.

The cooloff period is 2 weeks. So anyways you would just get ei for 2 weeks
You should definitely apply for EI. You contributed to it. You qualify for it. Then you should apply
Apply immediately you’re let go
I think there’s a week downtime but they’d still pay for it, DYOR
Yes you can. I'm also pretty sure its a two week waiting period but that money you are entitled to. It's worth the time it takes to apply. You will probably already have started your new job but take that money and pay back your LOC.
