I was previously working at ZS. Heard a few colleagues were laid off today. Is this something that has happened across the board in the firm ?

I heard from my head that there is a lot of slowdown in VW Germany... There is Hiring freeze, level freeze and all ... And soon that will spillover to india. So be prepared for very less hikes in coming cycle :( Also automotive sector in general is struggling with tesla laying off 10% workforce recently. Maybe time to make a move? What do you say fishes?

I recently started a new role, accepted the job because of an awesome interview with the hiring manager who got me really excited about the opportunities at this new company. Been there a short time, and today I find out they are planning to layoff the entire group I’m with because of a restructuring in the next few weeks. I just can’t believe it, need to process the bait and switch.

I have at least 4 foreign friends on visas who are leaving the US due to layoffs. Anyone else know a lot of people who are leaving? 😢

Everyone else seems to be finding jobs so quickly after being laid off… I’ve been searching for 5 months and keep hitting walls. I’m tired. Depressed. Angry. Sad. I had to start therapy again because it’s all too much and is affecting my ability to function day-to-day. I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel anymore. How are people able to do this?

Just accepted an offer with a 10k pay reduction to leave consulting and live by the ocean. My new boss just mentioned that I can choose between 8-5pm or 9-6pm and doesn’t want me to work nights or weekends. I hate when you ask senior associates a question regarding an assignment they’ve assigned and you receive attitude-reply to the email vaguely without even addressing the email (example: “just complete the assigned, don’t worry about that”). Especially when the question/issue being ask is an important part of the assignment. It almost feels like I’m a bother for asking even though the associate(when assigning) said “feel free to ask any questions you may have while working on the assigned tasks”
