I was planning to do a 3-mo Le Cordon Bleu cooking course abroad until Covid19 happened. FYI that severely limits your travel though since it’s usually 4 days a week, every week 😅
Yeah, fingers crossed for everyone! I was bummed since I’m headed off to school in a few months and wanted to do something wild, but feeling grateful every day that I’m with family and no one I know has contracted it yet. Though heartbreaking that we still don’t have a solid response down.
PM1, you can just apply from their website. I will caveat that LCB is not known for their rigor per se (they are well known among Americans for the brand but as many say, if you want to be a chef, don’t go to school or go to your local community college); their entrance standards aren’t super high - if you pay the 10K and write something coherent, you are in 😊 not to say it isn’t a professional program; it just allows for more folks to take it casually since the 3 mo basic course keeps you from having to commit to the full 15-24 professional program (as many culinary schools do).

You could study German and spend a few months in Berlin. Cool city, lower cost of living, very young and hipster and lots of nice clubs. Again, assuming no COVID-19 travel restrictions.
I personally would love to study French and spend time learning it in Paris and the South eg Marseilles. That or to learn Portuguese and live in Lisbon — such a beautiful country with nice weather, food and people!
You’d want to consider the language and culture that you are used to, and whether you’re wanting to learn it for passion or business use.

SA = South Africa or South Asia?
I mean South America
I'd do #2 without thinking twice. Why not SEA though? You already been?
Yeah I’ve already been. I’ve went with a group of five friends from the states though, so it would probably be a little different but I don’t want to repeat anything

This is interesting & sounds fun. How do you guys space it out like that?
Go buy a $1 house in Italy and renovate it while making friends with the locals.
