I work at a fintech company and the constant "peopling" has left me feeling burnt out. I don't know how best to deal when I get like this. I've been in CS roles for about 14 years and don't know how to get out.

What would you recommend someone starting tas (campus hire) early next month do to prepare. I am CPA eligible, but not sure if I should spend my time on that or study finance or just relax. Any recommendations?

I was not getting any proper job, I joined a company as System Admin (the position name is only in pen and paper their actual work is data entry operator) on 3rd party payroll. The company only gives salary which is lowest in market. they don't provide any facilities. there is no career growth, learning facilities in this company. Still I am not getting proper job. Now I am forgetting the things I learned. Fully frustrated with my job. Please suggest how can I overcome the problem.

Has anyone taken part of the education reimbursement program? I’ve been here for 4 years and I’m thinking of obtaining my Master’s in Organizational Leadership, but I feel like with this merger, if I started the program and then there are layoffs or too many new hires, or work just becomes overwhelming, I wouldn’t be able to complete my program. Since there is a heavy impetus on solving Tree, LinkedList, and Graph problems for tech interviews, it can naturally make freshers believe that these concepts will be used in day-to-day life at work. In reality, most of these DSA concepts are already implemented in some libraries our code uses and we rarely have to code such Algorithms by hand.

Having tough time deciding between IB & Consulting. My thought process: I have a "better" background for IB (TAS/valuation) and with tech layoffs, this might push more potential would-be tech applications to pursue consulting (there by increased competition)? Additionally, you can do IB intern and full time consulting but not vice versa. I prefer consulting, but IB seems like the "safer" option? And if consulting does get hit hard, I would hopefully have a full time IB offer via internship.

How do PE exits look like for emerging market funds in Middle East (e.g Abraaj group type firms)

I got rejected for an interview from Big 4 NY Audit, even had referrals from Manager + level people. 3 years w/ audit senior at mid size firm, 2 years fed tax at big 4, and 1.5 years Internal Audit healthcare. Currently self employed for a year to work on investing. Do I literally need a partner level referral to get back into Audit? I thought there was an accountant shortage.
