I work for government agency and Im contemplating a departmental or even career change. 1. I had run in with a client (my 1st in a few years) that left me discouraged. 2. A few complaints from collegues that they were overwhelmed with my habit of trying to help everyone. 😒. I feel stuck between trying to help the public (my job duty) and not overwhelming my collegues who we need in order to help the public. Their burnout is in directly affects my ability to properly serve the community.

I'm a marketer and I'm having a hard time getting my clients to listen to me.

I have been in marketing for 10 years now. I've worked with hundreds of clients and have been able to increase their sales by over $1 million each year.

But every time I go into a meeting with a new client, they ignore everything I say. They just want to talk about their product. They don't seem interested in learning how to market it better.

I just finished a big jury trial with a senior partner (SP). There were co-parties w/separate counsel. SP mentally checked out, to the point that co-counsel was asking what SP was doing/if SP was okay. I ended up handling most everything. SP did a few parts but went rogue and did things that were offensive/risky/bad for client. It became clear that SP is not performing like SP used to and may be a liability. Do I tell someone at my firm? Don’t want to offend SP or cause drama, but I’m concerned.

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. I have joined Nagarro almost a year now as a senior architect. However, I see lot of issues here. The company is great so far as employee friendliness is concerned. It may be rated as the top most company in that regard and that is why attrition is well within control. However, there are issues:

1. Project Allocation - allocated to projects without fitment with the role or skills. No internal job portal

2. Lots of seniors in bench for long time

3. No way to give company feedback

Partners, what are signs/examples that a project’s leadership is prioritizing the clients needs over the team beyond the normal ‘nature of client service’? Is a convo is worth it?

My partner got a City of Toronto offer. Salary band is 104-121k. HR asked for his expectations and he said 115k.
