Combat engineer here. Try tailoring your resume to focus more on your project management, construction, and leadership skills. Additionally, check out edx.org for free courses and certificates you can also put on your resume. Take advantage of your GI bill and attend industry specific job training or go to college. Take some time to determine what you’d like to do, blue collar work? Office work? Many opportunities out there my friend.

You may not find work blowing things up, but being able to work under pressure while exhibiting technical expertise, that's a transferrable skill. And, you've got a lot of opportunities to obtain more education. There are lots of road open to you.
