Internal transfer is the best way. I saw couple of people being non texh also moving in this domain in IJP.

Have you tried for an internal transfer? That would probably be the easiest way.

Prepare for and take the CISSP. It’s a good merit to have.

Agreed. Sorry, I misinterpreted what you mean. As you probably know, a lot of folks back in the day would recommend the CCIE to get into networking. That cert became devalued quickly.

Oh boy Fiserv. I remember that project was a dumpster fire lol

So, I've realised there's a problem with developers, a lot of them are coders, not engineers. And another issue, is that, companies don't really care about their progression as far as I'm aware, so what did you guys do in your own time to transition from being a coder to an engineer?

Would love some advice / thoughts. I went straight from law school to a corporate legal department in house for an asset manager. They like “home grown” talent and I “be worked hard and risen relatively quickly (AGC in 9 years). I work hard and get a lot of complicated deals done (structured products and private funds). I can’t shake certain people (in compliance department mainly) thinking I don’t have enough experience to do what I do because I didn’t come from a law firm. Any advice?

When I moved in-house a year ago as a BigLaw mid-level, I took a 45% pay cut, far more than I was comfortable with (although I was fine with a 20-30% cut). I took the job because it was a great role and I was focused on making the jump in house and developing the skills I wanted, which required me moving away from my firm practice area. Now that my year-end review is coming up, how do I ask my company for a significant pay raise (not just a 2-5% inflation-matching raise)?

Tried this Santorini retailing for $40. Very concentrated but can’t say I was blown away by it. Volcanic terroir dominates almost to the point of obscurity, and it had strong lemon notes, hints of quince, and sea salt. It clashed with Mexican food (hey I knew that beforehand but didn’t think it would clash THAT bad, and usually pair Mexican with Riesling or Gewürztraminer) but I’m going to Greece soon and wanted to drink Greek wine. I drank half at a BYOB, took the bottle home(cont’d)
