I’m an L6 SDM at Amazon but a Meta recruiter sent me an M2 sdm job description. I have all the XP I need from previous job experience but does Meta keep your same level as Amazon? Meaning if I am an L6 at Amazon am I automatically interviewing at M1 or can I jump to an M2?Amazon Facebook (Meta)

The unfortunate answer is the most honest- picking up leadership in most organizations is about politics, not skills. Do a good enough job on quota, etc. but spend your time building relationships.
Door opening is of vital importance and people tend to not do things unless it is beneficial for them

Start by being a leader. Set up a monthly call/Zoom with your peers (no management allowed) and have each of them talk about something that they did that was magnificent, and helped move the sales process forward. If you have 6 people on the call, everybody gets about 10 minutes. You will find that most everybody will get a nugget or two from the session. The next thing to do is to develop Mentors & Sponsors. A Mentor is someone works outside your firm (you can find them on LinkedIn) with whom you can discuss the good, the bad & the ugly. A Sponsor is someone inside your firm who is at least 2 levels above you and to whom you ONLY tell the good. The reason is that if a Sponsor believes in you, they will be telling their peers about you and will be recommending you for promotion (if you deserve it).
Noted, Sponsor perspective holds true as he/she would be the internal push or the one who drives certain initiatives in such cases.
For the Mentor part - I’m looking at avenues for the same. Will try LinkedIn as sometime folks do not want to be bothered by strangers :)
Aside from the suggestions above, you can start working on your connections. A lot faster, honestly. But you have to deal with politics. That's the downside
