Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

Depends on what the problems are... but you could ask questions like “how are you at dealing with projects where you receive very little instruction?” or “do you mind getting text messages on your personal phone from supervising attorneys for revisions at night and on weekends?” “how are you at dealing with interpersonal conflict?” Maybe not super covert 😊 but perhaps if mixed in with more normal questions not too bad?
Start by telling us all where you work... will reduce the pool of ppl you need to warn face to face in the first place 😉

Just blink in Morse code: dot dot dot dash dash dash dot dot dot, repeat.

I once interviewed for a gig and two of the team members told me not to take the job. They were being kind, and I’m forever grateful to them.

Good luck. Avoid a paper trail. Or, email trail.
Easiest way is to have them ask you questions. Answer their questions with negatives about the team but end with a neutral spin so you don’t get fired (if your employer wants, they’ll find a way to fire you if they feel like you’re talking smack and hurting the company):
Q: “How is the team?”
A: “it’s not bad, PM is a micromanager for my taste and there are plenty of late nights but we get the work done on time.”

Just casually slide this across the table during the interview 🔥

I was this interviewee. I interviewed with multiple people on the team who told me upfront, “Look, you seem great so I’m going to be honest... do not work on this team. The team lead is miserable. Keep an ear out for one of the other teams hiring but seriously, don’t work for this one.” I appreciated the hell out of this honesty because it saved me a lot of stress and general unhappiness.
“Have you faced a challenging/difficult work environment in the past? How did you address it or deal with it?” “Whats your preferred work style? Has it ever been a challenge for you to work with a micromanager?” (or whatever word you’d use to describe the shitty aspects of the manager)
“How do you find the motivation to power through a very challenging work environment? How do you find the ability to motivate others, when the entire environment feels stacked against you?”
And when they ask you questions about the environment, say things like “well it’s definitely not for everyone! It’s a challenge. It’s difficult. It’s a lot to deal with most of the time. But there’s some really good people on some of the teams and it’s a job, during a time when a lot of people don’t have jobs, so there’s a lot to be grateful for.” LOUD AND CLEAR

Do you really want to leave the team? If you did, you wouldn’t be asking this question. You’d be selling the hell out of your current team to anyone who’s willing to listen.
Or just decline to participate in the interview
Make him regret that

Play the game honestly. Don’t burn bridges. Be as positive as you can. What you hate about a company someone else might love.
