My experience with Gartner is from a customer’s point of view.
I got the feeling that employees have a good work/life balance. They would move deadlines rather then force employees to work extra hours.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
What role?
High level, WLB is generally good and I’ve found the culture is pretty open. I’m in consulting so can’t speak much to career growth in research. Benefits are pretty standard. Happy to answer more specifics
I’m an analyst that went through the talent lab. Good work life balance and lots of support.
I can only speak for the Research & Advisory practice, but WLB and PTO are both very good. I know if you take a role that was once a CEB role (acquired company back in 2016), you are paid less than a role that is traditionally Gartner. You should be fine in the IT space in terms of getting paid a bit more. I find Gartner to pay about 30% below market average, but most people work a very strict 8:30/9-5pm day and log off. Just depends on what it’s worth for you. Definitely interesting and smart people at Gartner. It’s quite a siloed company so not much room to stretch outside of your role.
