Im an Automation tester with 4 YOE. Im planning for upskilling myself, What Tech should i learn more to add weight to my SDET profile, which would help me to get placed in high paid product companies.

I just got a job offer for an Entry Level Software Engineer at Boeing in Saint Louis. The salary is $82,000 with an $8,000 sign on bonus. I have seen few IT product companies like Amazon firing people and I have also seen openings at their job portals.

So instead of firing so many talented people why they don't just move them to whatever open positions they have ?
