I'm currently facing a dilemma with my job and I'm torn between whether to stay or leave. I work from home and have been with the company for almost a year and a half. Lately, I've been feeling extremely burnt out. I work in the pre-lit department of a personal injury firm, and the attorney doesn't help. The only reason I'm staying is because of the pay, and the fact that I live quite far from everything. This job is taking a toll on my mental well-being. I would really appreciate some advice.

Your mental health is worth more than the pay and the ability to work from home. Easier said than done! I want to encourage you to take a leap of faith and look for something else. I worked my way up as a paralegal and received a high paying remote job managing IP paralegals. After a year the environment got so toxic for me. I was losing weight, my hair was falling out and my relationship with my kids was not doing well. I was having panic attacks before and after work and my anxiety spiraled out of control. After four years I made a plan and left. I am back to being a paralegal for in house and I’m so happy I made that move. I took a 30k pay cut however, my peace and mental health is better than it’s been in a long time. It was a hard choice as I’m a single mom to 3 but I’ve realized if I’m miserable and get sick from the stress and toxicity of the job, what good is that money for?? It I’m sick in the hospital or staying home because I’m so stressed is that even living? I’d rather work a job where I’m less stressed and have less money. I picked up a side job for the weekends that’s supplementing some of the funds I’m missing out on. Please 🙏 take that leap of faith

Your mental well being is first. I have been a paralegal for over 25 years and one thing I learned is no employer is loyal. No job is worth being miserable, or sick, or whatever. Life is short and you only get one chance at life. You don't get to do it over for anyone. So on that note, I resigned abruptly and it was the best decision of my life. I felt free and now I'm looking for a position in which I could utilize my skills but not in the legal field. Do something you enjoy and remember its not about the money, its about you.

New fish looking for career guidance.

I'm a corporate recruiter with 3 years of experience. Finishing my degree in HRM 5/2022. I'm thinking of getting my SHRM -CP shortly after graduation.

I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm.

Has anyone here started off in recruiting and branched out to other HR functions? Do you like your new role? Do you wish you stuck with recruiting?

Anyway, open and appreciative of any insight.

Hello Fishes,

Any idea when we get relieving letter/service certificate from TCS?

My LWD was 16th September and I received FNF 10 days before. Also got initial release letter on my LWD.

I see so many issues in this organisation.
When I joined TCS after 5 days of joining they used to mail me every week for 5 continuous weeks and asked me every time for previous organisation relieving letter.
But they themselves don’t share it and delay a lot.

Anyone please advise.
